The "Pouch Brigade"!!
We are excited to announce a new program for Operation Free Money: The "Pouch Brigade". Not only will we be earning MONEY for the PTA but we will also be teaching our students to RECYCLE!!! Students will be able to recycle their drink pouches in the cafeteria during lunch time. Parents are also encouraged to send in drink pouches that they have used at home as well (empty, no straws and lightly rinsed please). The PTA will earn $.02 for every pouch collected. Any brand (CapriSun, KoolAid, HonestKids Organic, Minute Maid etc) drink pouch will be accepted but not juice boxes.

One student in every grade level who turns in a collection sheet by Friday October 22 will be entered into a drawing for a prize!!

Goochland Elementary PTA has been successful at earning on average
$1,000 / year by submitting in box tops!
Let’s try to double that amount this year!! Have some fun and use the collection sheets available with your children or classroom and grade level contests.
BOX TOPS COLLECTION SHEETS make collecting easier and fun. Print out any one of your choice and glue or tape you box tops to the sheet to turn in. Envelopes or plastic bags work just as well. Collection sheets can be found on the boxtops or pto today site: http://www.boxtops4education.com/earn/clip/Projects.aspx

It is easier on our volunteers to submit the box tops if they are grouped by 50 and clipped neatly but we’ll take them any way you can send them. As a reminder, they do not accept expired ones so please watch the dates.
