2010/2011 Operation Free Money Items To Collect!

Goochland Elementary School’s PTA takes part in many activities that earn money to support our programs for the school or get supplies without spending money. We cannot do it without YOU. This list briefly describes the many different ways that you can help. Just by saving Box Tops, Campbell Labels and linking some of your store cards, YOU are contributing FREE MONEY. Please consider getting family, friends and neighbors to help too.

Box Tops for Education http://www.boxtops4education.com/

$ Cut out the “box tops” logo from participating products. If you can bring them to school in bags of 50 or on collection sheets of 10, 25 or 50, it’s a big help. Also, please watch the expiration dates.
$ Food Lion runs promotions where you get bonus box tops that print out with your coupons, especially the first month of school. Please watch for them and send them in.  $ SIGN UP ONLINE at the Box Tops website to receive their newsletter to support our school & we get points.

Campbell’s - Labels for Education http://www.labelsforeducation.com/

$ Cut out the UPC and the Labels for Education logo. They NO LONGER accept just the front part of the label. Check their website for a list of products, including Pepperidge Farm. Use collection sheets if you wish. Campbell’s awards points so the school can select free items from their product catalog.

Tyson Foods – Project A+
http://www.tyson.com/projectaplus/

$ Cut out the entire top section of frozen food bags or the entire side of frozen food boxes. The little black A+ is not sufficient. Tyson’s offers 24 cents for every label.

POUCH BRIGADE!!
We are excited to announce a new program for Operation Free Money: The "Pouch Brigade". Not only will we be earning MONEY for the PTA but we will also be teaching our students to RECYCLE!!! Students will be able to recycle their drink pouches in the cafeteria during lunch time. Parents are also encouraged to send in drink pouches that they have used at home as well (empty, no straws and lightly rinsed please). The PTA will earn $.02 for every pouch collected. Any brand (CapriSun, KoolAid, HonestKids Organic, Minute Maid, Store Brands, etc) drink pouch will be accepted but not juice boxes. See http://www.terracycle.net for more information on the upcycle program.

Link your store cards to GES on-line. If you do not have Internet access, send your information into the school and leave in the collection boxes in the cafeteria. One of us will be happy to set them all up for you. These are great opportunities for us and SO EASY!! You may need to re-register every year so if you signed up last year, check again this year.

Kroger – Plus Card for Education

$ Coming soon- UPC labels to attach to your card to register at the store. It’s just like the Food Lion except we get points, not cash.

There are always other programs that come and go for free money opportunities. Feel free to send in any other ideas you have but keep in mind that the collection , counting and sorting needs volunteers as well to make it happen!
